New York event spotlights progress on global goals

See how the global community is coming together to create a better future for everyone by 2030

It’s an important week in New York where some 2,000 participants, 90 governmental reps and 130 speakers are coming together for the annual High-level Political Forum.

Nearly 50 countries will provide a review showing how they’re progressing on 17 global goals set by the United Nations to be met by 2030. Below are a few topics up for discussion:

  • inclusive quality education
  • sustainable economic growth
  • combating climate change

We’re excited the ChildFund Alliance — which represents 11 child-focused organizations across the globe, including Christian Children’s Fund of Canada (CCFC) — will share what’s been learned while working with youth to help end violence against children.

At CCFC, we work through our partners with the support of our donors, to keep children safe and help them overcome obstacles — such as child marriage — so they can go to school and receive a quality education.

Help a child go to school today.

About Children Believe

Children Believe works globally to empower children to dream fearlessly, stand up for what they believe in — and be heard. For 60+ years, we’ve brought together brave young dreamers, caring supporters and partners, and unabashed idealists. Together, we’re driven by a common belief: creating access to education — inside and outside of classrooms — is the most powerful tool children can use to change their world.
